The world brings us surprising turns and events which guide us to what we are meant to do with our lives. Being a young boy, Karol Wojtyla`s family passed away within years of his childhood leaving him with his father. In his school there were often soccer games organised with the Christians playing the Jews and Karol often volunteered himself as a goalie on the Jewish team if they were short a player. Later he enrolled in a university in Krakow where he worked as a librarian and did some military training but refused to hold a weapon, this shows how passionate he was towards certain issues such as war. After the war Pope John Paul ii was reflecting saying
